Elizabeth “Liz” Hanohano-Hong, OD was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Seattle University in Seattle, and her Doctorate of Optometry with honors from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona. After optometry school, she completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona.
Through her connection to the California Lions Club, Dr. Hanohano-Hong has participated in medical mission trips to Mexico. In addition, she worked in optometry practices in Kapolei and Kunia with Dr. Chris Sween and Dr. Stanley Sato before joining the Aloha Laser Vision team. She is a member of both the Hawaii Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Hanohano-Hong is an expert in pre- and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery. Her years of experience and exceptional skill make her a great asset to our team. During her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.
